72% of Institutional Traders Have No Plans to Trade Crypto

601 out of 835 institutional traders surveyed have no plans to invest in digital assets. That's the result of the JPMorgan study.

The sample included 835 institutions from 60 different countries. Responses were received from January 3 to 23.

Only 6% of those surveyed said they plan to start trading in digital assets this year, while 14% said they are on the five-year horizon. 8% of respondents have already added cryptocurrencies to their list of tradable instruments.

The study also found that 12% of institutional traders believe blockchain technology will shape the face of trading in the future. Artificial intelligence and machine learning accounted for the largest share of responses (53%).
