What is the network fee and who pays it?

Some blockchain networks are run by miners (validators) and are a chain of blocks made up of validated transactions. The blockchain network fee is the fee paid by the person sending funds to make the cryptocurrency payment

The fee can be paid either by a merchant or the customer, depending on what the merchant chooses when creating an invoice
